Haircare Brand Moxie Beauty Raises $15 Million

Indian haircare brand Moxie Beauty has secured $15 million in a Series A funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners.WHO: Founded in 2023 by Nikita Khanna and Anmol Ahlawat, Moxie Beauty focuses on haircare designed for Indian hair textures and climate conditions. The brand currently has a portfolio of 19 products spanning shampoos, conditioners, styling formats, and scalp care. It sells its products via its own website, e-commerce marketplaces such as Nykaa and Amazon, and quick commerce platforms such as Swiggy Instamart, Blinkit, and Zepto. The company has also begun pilot offline partnerships with salons, including Bodycraft, and entered modern trade through select retailers such as Health & Glow and Reliance Fresh Pick.WHY: The new investment will be used to expand product development and research initiatives, hire across key functions, and scale distribution channels. IN THEIR OWN WORDS: “A lot of brands talk about Indian hair being different, but very few show the level of research and formulation depth that we saw at Moxie,” said Anant Vidur Puri, partner at Bessemer Venture Partners. “That focus on product, combined with early signs of brand pull, stood out.” DETAILS:Moxie Beauty raised $15 million in a Series A funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners. Existing backer Fireside Ventures also participated in the round, along with angel investors including Navin Parwal, Sangeet Agarwal, and Arjun Purkayastha.According to Moxie, it has crossed Rs 100 crore ($11 million) in annual recurring revenue within 2 years of launch and has reported a 4x increase in monthly revenue over the past year.
